 CMRC-WEC Ontario Cross-Country Championship Press Release, May 28 2010
Canada’s fastest growing off-road internet magazine, www.offroadmotorcycles.ca, and new Port Colborne, ON Yamaha/Victory/Polaris dealer, Port Powersports, are pleased to announce the offroadmotorcycles.ca Port Powersports Weekend Warrior Award. This award will be presented at each round of the CMRC-WEC Ontario Cross Country Championship to the amateur rider who best shows the true spirit of off-road racing. Sportsmanship, attitude, camaraderie and a willingness to overcome hardship will all come into play to determine the recipient of the offroadmotorcycles.ca Port Powersports Weekend Warrior Award.
“At every race there is one person that stands out for whatever reason,” said offroadmotorcycles.ca editor Dan Paris. “You know, stopping to help another rider at the expense of their own race results. Racing a clapped-out bike on a shoestring budget, just for the sheer enjoyment of the sport. Being extra helpful in the pits to other racers and their families. Struggling just to finish a race despite incredible bad luck…there is always someone that simply makes you proud to be a dirt biker, and this award is for them!”
The offroadmotorcycles.ca Port Powersports Weekend Warrior award will be different at each round, but in each case will be something the recipient will find very useful as a racer and dirt bike enthusiast. You can visit the Port Powersports website at www.portpowersports.com
